Topics in Kant: Politics, Ethics and Religion

6 Items

Virtual issues collect together the most important papers on substantive topics from the archives of Diametros.

According to Wilfrid Sellars, the history of philosophy is the 'lingua franca' which enables philosophers of different epochs to communicate with one another. This virtual special issue builds upon this insight in that it presents the multiple ways in which the philosophy of Immanuel Kant informs contemporary debates in different areas of 'practical philosophy'. The topics covered in the issue include freedom of speech, colonialism, the problem of moral motivation, secularism, and the Kantian conception of church.
