Virtual issues collect together the most important papers on substantive topics from the archives of Diametros. 

The relationship between scientific research and ethics is fascinating theoretically and urgently practical. Philosophical problems related to research have been mainly tackled from the perspective of philosophy of science but the rapid development of new research methods and areas raises ethical constraints. What are the ethical principles of good research practice? Should we evaluate biomedical research also in terms of social justice? And more concretely: What are the perils of p-hacking? What are the philosophical assumptions underlying different methods used in the design of diagnostic strategies? How do researchers doing welfare-related science characterize situations of uncertainty or risk? In recognition of these fundamental themes, we present some of the best pieces from the archive of Diametros that grapple with these issues. All articles are free to read.
