Diametros – A Journal of Philosophy (ISSN 1733-5566) was founded in September 2004 and aims to publish original, scholarly, peer-reviewed works in all areas of philosophy on a quarterly basis. Contributions are welcomed in both English and Polish. In recent years, Diametros has also published several issues devoted to work at the intersections between medicine, healthcare, bioethics, and philosophy. The journal is published in open access by Jagiellonian University in Kraków, and it is free for readers & authors.

Aims and scope of the journal

Research articles submitted to our journal should not exceed 40,000 characters, including spaces. Unfortunately, we can only consider longer contributions in exceptional circumstances. Aside from research articles, Diametros also publishes discussion notes (which are typically, but not exclusively, related to texts published in the journal), and in-depth reviews of recently published philosophical books (although we do not publish short reviews of books). It is recommended that in-depth reviews of books published in English should also be written in English, unless their intention is solely to discuss the Polish-language translations of the books.

Reviewing Process

The reviewing process is described in Submissions. The list of reviewers is published yearly in the December issues of the journal.

Publication ethics and publication malpractice
