Abstract

Making use of the conceptual apparatus introduced by Arendt, and in particular of the concept of the human condition, the author proves that her claim that toward the end of the modern era there took place a degradation and regress of humanity is mistaken.

Zdzisława Piątek

Prof. dr hab. Zdzisława Piątek, profesor zwyczajny w Instytucie Filozofii Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Prowadzi badania w dziedzinie szeroko rozumianej filozofii nauki, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ewolucjonizmu i ekofilozofii. Jej najważniejsze publikacje to: Biologiczne podstawy języka a N. Chomsky’ego koncepcja gramatyki, Aspekty antropocentryzmu, Etyka środowiskowa, Nowe spojrzenie na miejsce człowieka w przyrodzie, a także popularnonaukowe opracowania na temat Biologia wobec płci i seksu. Jest autorką ponad stu artykułów naukowych.
