- Between the Species – an
electronic journal devoted to the philosophical examination of the relationship
between human beings and other animals. Most articles are ethical inquiries,
others raise issues involving metaphysics, epistemology and other areas of
philosophical investigation. The BtS site gives free access to all articles.
- Journal of Animal
Ethics – the first named journal of animal ethics in the world. It is
devoted to the exploration of progressive thought about animals. It is
multidisciplinary in nature and international in scope. It covers theoretical
and applied aspects of animal ethics - of interest to academics from the
humanities and the sciences, as well as professionals working in the field of
animal protection.
- AnimalEthics.net –
the site is affiliated with the Faculty of Life Sciences of the University of Copenhagen and has been developed under the auspices of the Danish Centre for
Bioethics and Risk Assessment. It contains introductory texts and academic
papers in the research field of animal ethics (most of the papers are available
in an open access format).
- Journal
for Critical Animal Studies – (formerly known as Animal Liberation
Philosophy and Policy Journal) was established for the purpose of fostering
academic study of critical animal issues in contemporary society. JCAS is an
interdisciplinary journal with an emphasis on animal liberation philosophy and
policy issues and facilitating communication between the many diverse
perspectives of the animal rights movement.
- Journal of
Animal Law – published by Students of Michigan State University College of
Law. Explores the legal and public policy issues surrounding animals. The site
offers free access to all articles.
