- Ethics – “Founded in
1890, Ethics publishes scholarly work in moral, political, and legal philosophy
from a variety of intellectual perspectives, including social and political theory,
law, and economics. In addition to major articles, Ethics also publishes review
essays, discussion articles, and book reviews.”
- Philosophy
& Public Affairs – „Issues of public concern often have an important
philosophical dimension. Philosophy & Public Affairs is published in the
belief that a philosophical examination of these issues can contribute to their
clarification and to their resolution. It welcomes philosophical discussion of
substantive legal, social, and political problems, as well as discussions of
the more abstract questions to which they give rise. In addition, it aims to
publish studies of the moral and intellectual history of such problems. Philosophy
& Public Affairs is designed to fill the need for a venue in which
philosophers with different viewpoints and philosophically inclined writers
from various disciplines -including law, political science, economics, and
sociology - can bring their distinctive methods to bear on problems that
concern everyone“.
- Social
Philosophy and Policy – “Social Philosophy and Policy is an
interdisciplinary journal with an emphasis on the philosophical underpinnings
of enduring social policy debates. The issues are thematic in format, examining
a specific area of concern with contributions from scholars in different
disciplines, especially philosophy, economics, political science and law.”
- Ethics
and Behaviour – “Ethics & Behavior publishes articles on an array of
topics pertaining to various moral issues and conduct. These topics may
include, but are not restricted to, the exercise of social and ethical
responsibility in human behaviors, ethical dilemmas or professional misconduct
in health and human service delivery, the conduct of research involving human
and animal participants, fraudulence in the management or reporting of
scientific research, and public policy issues involving ethical problems”.
- Utilitas – “Utilitas is a
pioneering interdisciplinary journal of moral and political philosophy,
economic theory, jurisprudence, and intellectual history. It welcomes articles,
discussions, debates, and reviews on contemporary themes in these disciplines
where utilitarianism has made a particular contribution and on all aspects of
the development of utilitarian thought (including that of its opponents).”
- The
Journal of Ethics – „An International Philosophical Review publishes
articles on a wide range of topics in ethics, philosophically construed,
including such areas as ethical theory, moral, social, political, and legal
philosophy. Although primarily an organ of philosophical research, the journal
presents work on topics of concern to academics and professionals in a wide
range of fields. The journal also offers the highest quality commentaries on
works published in its pages.“
- Ethical
Theory and Moral Practice – “An International Forum is a peer-reviewed
journal which aims to publish the best work produced in all fields of
ethics. It welcomes high quality submissions regardless of the tradition or
school of thought from which they derive. As an editorial priority, however,
presentations should be accessible to the philosophical community at large.”
- The Journal of Social
Philosophy – “The Journal of Social Philosophy seeks to publish creative
approaches to practical and normative issues of contemporary social life, such
as those arising from economic and other forms of globalization, violent
political conflict, and the multiplicity of cultural experiences worldwide. It
places new emphasis on understanding the social contexts for political, legal,
moral, and cultural questions, and gives priority to the development of novel
theoretical frameworks, from social ontology to care ethics to cosmopolitan
theories of democracy, human rights, and global justice.“
- The Journal of Value
Inquiry – “The Journal of Value Inquiry is an international, peer-reviewed,
philosophical quarterly devoted to the stimulation and communication of
research in value studies. The journal explores the nature, origin, experiences
and scope of value, as well as problems of value in such fields as culture,
aesthetics, religion, social and legal theory or practice, ethics, education,
and methodology, technology and the sciences. Founded in 1967 by James Wilbur, The
Journal of Value Inquiry is a forum for presentation of the rich diversity of
approaches available to value inquiry. It is committed to openness,
cosmopolitanism, and the sharing of insights about humanity.“
