American Psychological Association Division 38 Health Psychology - "The Division of Health Psychology is focused on: advancing contributions of the psychology discipline toward understanding health and illness through basic and clinical research and by encouraging the integration of biomedical information about health and illness with current psychological knowledge; promoting education and services in the psychology of health and illness; and informing the psychological and biomedical community, as well as the general public, on the results of current research and service activities in this area."

American Psychological Association Center for Psychology and Health - "The APA Center for Psychology and Health collaborates with the American Psychological Association Practice Organization to provide a coordinated way forward to secure psychology's role in the overall improvement of health and health care in the United States. The center aims to implement one of the major goals of the APA Strategic Plan — to expand psychology's role in advancing health. There is growing recognition that the ever-increasing rise in our nation's health care costs — now 18.2 percent of the U.S. gross domestic product — is due mostly to the treatment of serious, chronic health conditions. These conditions are largely due to unhealthy behaviors such as poor diet, inadequate exercise and substance use. Briefing Series on the Role of Psychology in Health Care - "Psychology, as the science of behavior, has much to offer to enhance health promotion and disease prevention and address health disparities. Center for Health and Wellbeing Princeton University - "The Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHW) fosters research and teaching on the multiple aspects of health and wellbeing in both developed and developing countries. Health Psychology and Rehabilitation - "The Health Psychology web site contains information and viewpoints about the interaction of psychological and medical conditions (or psychomedical disorders). European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) - "The European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) is a professional organisation formed to promote empirical and theoretical research in and applications of health psychology within Europe as well as the interchange of information related to heath psychology with other associations throughout the world towards an international achievement of these aims."

International Society of Critical Health Psychology (ISCHP) - "Members of the society espouse a variety of theoretical and methodological viewpoints. However, as with other critical psychologists, they share a common dissatisfaction with the positivist assumptions of much of mainstream psychology and its ignorance of broader social and political issues. Instead, they share an interest in various critical ideas (e.g. social constructionism, post-modernism, feminism, marxism, etc.) and various qualitative and participatory methods of research (e.g. discourse analysis, grounded theory, action research, ethnography, etc.) and their relevance to understanding health and illness. Further, they share an awareness of the social, political and cultural dimensions of health and illness (e.g. poverty, racism, sexism, political oppression, etc.) and an active commitment to reducing human suffering and promoting improved quality of life, especially among those sections of society most in need."

International Association of Applied Psychology - Psychologia zdrowia – dywizja 8 – “The International Association of Applied Psychology is the oldest international association of psychologists. Its official languages are English and French. Founded in 1920, it now has more than 1.500 members from more than 80 countries. Its mission is succinctly stated in Article 1 of its Constitution: "...to promote the science and practice of applied psychology and to facilitate interaction and communication about applied psychology around the world."
