Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) – “The European
Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) is, since its creation in
1985, an international research and communication network. ‘European’ is used
here in the broad sense of the term, i.e. from the Atlantic to the Urals. It
aims at promoting public critical concern regarding the ethical issues involved
in the development of the biomedical sciences in our communities.”

(ASBH) – towarzystwo powstaÅ‚o w 1998 r. w wyniku konsolidacji trzech
istniejących wcześniej stowarzyszeń: the Society for Health and Human Values
(SHHV), the Society for Bioethics Consultation (SBC), i the American
Association of Bioethics (AAB).

– interdyscyplinarne i interprofesjonalne towarzystwo naukowe, poÅ›wiÄ™cone etyce
medycznej; działa od 1986 r., z siedzibą w Getyndze.
- The European Society For
Philosophy Of Medicine And Healthcare – “In August 1987, the European
Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) was founded and its
first conference was held at Maastricht, the Netherlands, with "The Growth
of Medical Knowledge" as its main topic. The ESPMH was instituted by an
international company of philosophers, physicians, ethicists and other
interested professionals in the field with a view to the growing need for
critical reflection on the role of medicine and health care in our present
society.”
- The European Society of Human Genetics – “The
ESHG was established on March 15, 1967 by a small group of outstanding European
Geneticists (...). The decision which led to the founding of the
ESHG was taken at an informal meeting of European participants at the IIIrd
International Congress of Human Genetics in Chicago in September 1966.”

Association (EBRA) – “EBRA is an association of individuals and
organisations in the scientific, medical and veterinary professions in the
countries of the Council of Europe. EBRA was established to promote the public
understanding of the importance of animals in medical and veterinary research
